Just two months ago, Amazon
had released 5.10.2 Kindle firmware. However, in such a short time, Amazon has
started rolling out 5.10.3 firmware update. The update is available for all
current Kindles and older Kindles dating back to the Kindle Paperwhite 2.
It appears to be a
relatively minor and mysterious update, because the download page doesn't have
any information on what has changed. The What's New screen on the device shows "Performance improvements and other
general enhancements."
As you may noticed, Amazon has made some change with the KFX DRM
encryption scheme. But the good news is that there’s still an alternative way to help
you remove KFX DRM smoothly. If you are interested, you can read this guide
about how to convert KFX to PDF.
You just need to downgrade the latest Kindle app to an older version Kindle app, then all of your problems regarding KFX DRM will be
resolved.
