Microsoft Edge Won't Support ePub Files Soon

Earlier this year, Microsoft removed the Books section from the Microsoft Store. Users can no longer buy new books and read their purchased books after July, but at least they can use the Edge Browser to read epub and pdf ebooks.

However, according to a new support page on Microsoft's website, Microsoft Edge will no longer support epub e-books. But Microsoft has collaborated with the DAISY Consortium to shortlist a few accessible ePub applications within the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft has confirmed that the end of support for this feature is coming with the release of the Chromium-based version of Edge. So you should be able to read ePub e-books in Edge for a while longer.

Tips: If you want to read ebooks on your favorite reader app for better reading experience, you can use Epubor Ultimate software to convert your Kindle/Kobo/Google Play/Nook ebooks easily.
