Kindle Firmware Update 5.12.4 is Available Now!

Amazon released the new 5.12.4 firmware update on February 2020, which would bring some big changes for font choices and reading options. However, according to the changelog, you will only be access to these new changes on the next couple of weeks.
Here’s what's new:
Aa Menu: Over the next couple of weeks, you will see an updated Aa menu that makes it easier to access all font, layout and reading options without leaving your book. Performance improvements, bug fixes, and other general enhancements.
But jhowell from MobileRead said that he examined firmware 5.12.4 and it had a number of changes related to the user interface update known internally as Kindle++. Hes assume that it what is being referenced by the above "What's New" item.
So here are some other features jhowell has found.
Options to control features like "Popular Highlights", "Word Wise", and "PinYin" moved to the Aa menu.
• Contrast setting with 5 choices: -2, -1, 0, 1, 2
• "Set the cover of the title you are reading to appear on your lock screen" (It's about time!)
The biggest advantages about this update is that it now makes it easier to access all font, layout and reading options without leaving your book.
Bonus Tips: all Kindle books downloaded via Kindle devices which are updated to 5.12.4 firmware can’t be decrypted by all existing DRM Removal. Luckily, here’s a good workaround for this problem. For more details, you can read this guide on how to remove Kindle DRM.
